Hi. I'm Angela.
My favorite person on earth calls me Angel.
My other two favorites call me Mom.
But my favorite person in all of creation calls me Beloved.
He's why I'm here in this social media space (I'm not a fan, but here I am, send me, Lord).
In 2020, I wrote a poem on my refrigerator in dry erase marker. Over the next year that poem came to life in my imagination until one day the Lord said, "You're going to make that into a book for your kids to pass down to your grandkids one day."
To which I replied with loud incredulous laughter. A lot like Sarah did when God said she was going to have a child in her old age.
Then I felt Him smile, sure and steady in His knowledge that, because I love Him, I would (eventually) put aside my insecurities and fears and follow Him into this new thing.
And He's walked faithfully beside me as life's busyness enabled me to drag my feet, gently nudging me onward. He's put people in my life that have spoken encouragement and truth to the pessimistic, self defeating thoughts I've had that have kept me from giving my whole heart to this pursuit.
This year, as certain aspects of life settled and others shifted, He convicted me that it was truly time to get to work. Not just on this first book, but on the others that have also started to take shape over the last couple of years.
So here I am.
I don't know if any of this goes beyond my family and friends. I have no expectations. I hold it with an open hand before the throne of Christ my King.
What I do know is that I'm going to love God, my family, my neighbor, and take the next step He calls me to.
All my love,
Angela

— 1 Corinthians 10:31
